You are absolutely an inspiration Louie. Congrats and I greatly appreciate how you've called out the true benefits of entrepreneurial life. Glad to be following behind in your wake, picking up tips and inspiration for my own journey. Keep going so that we all can too!
Thank you Rick! You have inspired me as well my friend. With your stories, your sharing, and your grit. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us. I’m in it for the long haul.
Happy anniversary, Louie! Here’s to staying in the game 🥂
I remember you mentioned you wanted to buy a small business. Is this still something you’d like to try out for the new year? With all you learned, it might be a fun one!
🍻 cheers Kenny! i’ve been loving your newsletter man, it hooks me right in.
I would love to try and buy something from microaquire, it’s definetly a goal of mine. I would like to start small but for sure I will be doing something.
Congrats on the personal and professional accomplishments during your "internet time"!
On that Paul Graham post... I don't want to sound like a d*ck, but I always oscillate between two states when reading Paul Graham:
1) This guy is very smart
2) This guy is very naive
Like, this time...
Any smart younger software engineer is better than an older software engineer *at writing code*.
(I actually think we could extend this to most white collar professions. Smart young people are almost always better than older people *at their specific hard skill*)
Any younger software engineer who uses AI is better than an older software engineer that doesn't use AI *at writing code*.
And that’s actually a very good point re:PG & that insight. If we think about it for a little bit it’s very obvious. But I suppose part of the reason it’s an insight right now is because AI is so new and most people don’t have a lot of time to think :) I didn’t really think through that much, until I read it and said “oh yea, that must be true” 😃
But I think this touches on a broader point probably, that I need to remind myself, not to overthink insights but share them more.
Congratulations Louie. It's been so inspiring to see your journey and I wish you lots of happiness, great ideas, and success in the next year of M&M :)
Congrats Louie. I was part of your last newsletter cohort. Loved every bit of it.Had it not been for Chris and you I don’t think I would have had the courage to start a newsletter. Thank you both for inspiring and giving us hope that one can make it with the right focus and perseverance.
Congrats!! Feeling pretty fired up after taking small bets fundamentals last week. The internet is such an expansive place. Thank you for the motivation, and for building an awesome platform!

Right back at you! I’m very happy I attended the Newsletter Launchpad until the end. It’s been very helpful in rekindling my excitement for writing!
Let me know how it goes, my wife and I are also looking at buying something small this year.

I'm really grateful you took those initial steps as an awkward and introverted engineer. Those steps inspired many futures
